Hydrogen 0.7.6 drum machine problem


I'm trying to install this tar.gz package but ...

why the hell do i get this error :

- i downloaded the libhydrogen.... along with the package , just in case;
- i did tar zxvf , ./configure , make , make install , make clean

help please

BTW
I can see a drummer tux logo right at start but it goes off after a second or so.

when i tried to install the libhydrogen ( i think it should be installed first ) , i got this at the end :

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

can anyone tell what is wrong , please ?

after this message i got "segmentation fault" , grrrr i downloaded trommler drum machine too but i just can't make it work , anyone ?

download it again... your tarball is corrupt. i've had the same problem. try the .bz2 package...

...now getting it to play nice with the OSS driver is another story....
