httpd-2.0.52 configure before make with 2 extra modules

I have downloaded and unzipped the source to httpd-2.0.52. Now I am trying to run configure before the make, but I want to statically compile in mod_dosevasive and mod_security (two extra modules). Both of their install docs say to use the --activate... switch, but configure barfs. How do I make configure work with both of these modules? (I'm new to configuring apache from scratch) Where do I put the mod_security and mod_dosevasive files? Which files does configure need? Just the mod_<...>.c files?

I was trying to use the --with-module=<type>:<name> statement, but I read in another forum that configure only accepts one of these statements, and I would like to use it twice...

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Thank you.

Is --with-module the correct switch, or should I be using another instead?

Okay, so which configure switch do I use to add in one module (e.g., mod_security)?
./configure --<?>

So I unzipped the mod_security directory into the httpd-2.0.52/modules directory, and I'm running configure like this:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-module=filters:/tmp/httpd-2.0.52/modules/mod_security/apache2/mod_security.c

so --with-module:<some existing module directory>:<path to source file>

This seems to come out okay, and the make seems to come out okay also. So, I may just go ahead with this and not worry about the other module.
