I downloaded the set up file or image for the cad program below, which appeared to install but I can not find it on any of the program listings.

The program appeared to go through the installation procedure, I have had this problems many time with Linux where I install a program and it is not listed.

Unless you also installed all the dependencies, the package

With nearly all the cad programs for Linux there is no install instructions, any instructions are for windows.

In the download for Linux, cad programs, there is so much other material that needs downloading as well.

You should use the package manager - synaptic and add special repositories (if required).
That is for qcad, pythoncad, sage, sagcad, VARCON etc
