Question HowTo install evolution


How do I install Evolution, which is a tar.bz2 archive?

After the ./configure it error with Evolution Development libraries not installed?

open a terminal
type
Code:
tar -xvjf foo.tar.bz2
cd foo
read the readme files
in general
Code:
./configure
make
Then as root
Code:
make install

Can't you install from the repo's ?

Thanks.

Update: when using yum, it installs the updates of 2.24 (which is already installed on my fedora box). I managed to yum evolution-exchange successfully. So I guess, the install part is now OK.

I'll start a new thread for the evolution-exchange connection.
