How would you go about making a new live cd linux?

I was wondering if anyone knew how to make a linux live cd - i have found some vague sites on the net, but if anyone could get into specifics I would be rateful - as would others I am sure. Thanks in advance. Fun Fun.

I would start at the Slax website and then go to this page and follow the instructions.

If I were clever and/or resourceful, I'd go to www.google.com and search for the terms 'live' and 'linux'.

Then I'd read the list of sites that it found, and realize that the first five are for existing linux live distros, but the sixth one (http://www.linux-live.org/) discusses how to build your own linux liveCD from an existing distro.
