How to use Amarok from another computer?

Hi all,

I have Ubuntu 8.04 and I have installed Amarok player (using MySQL backend), on another computer I use Putty, hoping to control Amarok running on Ubuntu. However, when I try "amarok -next" for example, I get error : ": cannot connect to X server"

After googling I found something about DCOP server but I couldn't find anything about setting that up and what about the needed perl scripts? Are they even needed?

Thanks in advance.

You can also try one of the many http server scripts for Amarok.
