How to upgrade my KDE ?

I'm using Linux Mandrake 9.0, the KDE is old, how to upgrade it without installing newer Mandrake 9.2 ?
Where to download new KDE?
At least I want to upgrade my Konqueror.

plenty of places to get the new KDE. http://www.kde.org/mirrors/ftp.php

although, i'm not sure if just installing the package with konqueror will work though.

There are so many files, do i need to install all of them?
How to make sure the old KDE will be replaced ?

Tell you what futurist, you should have a look at kde.org they have a fair bit of info.

the main bit that you might be able to work out, is about how to install kde 3.2 using the "konstruct" facility.

I've tried this and although I've now got load's of files that mention kde 3.2 I can't get the bastard to run or start, so at the moment I'm just installing and older kde - because I'm at my "wits end" with gnome. Lot's of people go on about it, but I'm sorry to say, that I've been very disappointed with it. i find it's a load of crap, and hence I've been tring to install the kde 3.2 - the only problem is that I've got so far, but when it stop's I don't know how to decypher the error's.

But your knowledge my be good enough to get it that way.

regards

John
