How to tell Xine to use Alsa ?
Hello,
mplayer works with alsa. So does xmms. For some reason, I cannot get xine to use alsa too. Obviously I tried "xine -A alsa", but it replies : main: audio driver <alsa> failed. Any idea how to tell xine to use alsa ? The reason I want to try xine is because mplayer doesnt have sound in most asf/wmv/mov files. Thanks in advance, Danodare |
Hi!
I'm not sure (don't remember), but i think it goes like that: >xine -A alsa I'm not sure about 'A'. Check xine --help If that doesn't work try >xine -A arts which works on my computer. Cheers |
