How to sync two PDF presentations? (e.g one slides, one notes)
I'm looking for a way to read two separate PDF files simultaneously. My context is that I'd like to give a presentation with a PDF file containing slides (shown on the beamer) and a PDF file with the same number of pages showing notes (on my laptop). As I click or press the relevant keys, both files should change page in sync.
One possible solution that comes to mind, but which I don't know how to execute, would be to have the PDFs open in two separate viewers and have them both "focused" in X i.e. that mouse/key events are fed to both.
Is this possible in X, or is it up to the window manager?
Note that getting the viewers on two different screens is not an issue (I'm using dwm, which handles this very well).
Alternatively, maybe some kind of daemon/client pdf viewer already exists? in which case I could bind X keys to communicate with the daemon?
I haven't had much luck searching online.
