How to support SQL Server on Linux with PHP?

I have a computer with Linux, and I also installed apache and PHP4 on it.
Now I want to access a SQL Server database on another computer with homepages written in PHP on my computer, what should I do?
It seems that there should be a file called "" on my computer to support access to SQL Server, but I can't find it. Does any one know how to deal with this situation?
Thank you.

Can you access the sql server on your local machine? If not then maybe you didn't compile them corectly and you have some files missing...

Have you compiled it yourself?
