How to Simlate keyborad input in C/GTK+


I want to create a application on Fedora Core 4 and using GTK+ to make GUI. but i don't know how to simlate the keyboard.

when the button clicked, the application will simulate the keyboard to send the key to system.

Did gdk have any function to done it ?
