I'm running a Red Hat 9 server and I would like to know how to set up the daylight saving time. I did some search but could not find any straitghforward information.

Thanks for any help.

Found this:

Linux is not able to handle the transition to and from daylight savings time if the hardware clock is set to local time. Specify that the hardware clock is set to GMT and use the BIOS setup to enter the correct Greenwich time.

See man pages for hwclock and date.
Also check out redhat-config-date command.

See man page for hwclock
