how to set up the D-LINK WLAN adapter for ad-hoc communication

Hi Folks,

Please provide me the info:
-> how to set the MAC address and mode for ad-hoc communication in between pc and my snowball board ?

-> how to establish the communication and how to use wpa_supplicant in this issue ?

if I`m wrong in asking the proper question please provide me the needful.
