How to save the setting of gVim?

I changed my favourite font, color theme of gVim. However, it will use the default when I run gVim again and I need to set the font and color theme. How to save those setting so that I don't need to do it every time?

Thanks.

I just edited ~/.gvimrc.

You could also try
:help settings

Here are my vim and gvim config files:

.vimrc:
Code:
" Map Ctrl+N to (temporarily) disable search highlighting
nmap <silent> <C-N> :silent noh<CR>
" Map uppercase W and W to lowercase to avoid annoying typo errors
map :W :w
map :Q :q

set softtabstop=4
set shiftwidth=4
set ignorecase
set showmatch
set title
set showmode
set ttyfast
set wildchar=<TAB>

" Set javac as the make program and the corresponding errorformat to be able to browse through compilation errors
set makeprg=javac\ %
set errorformat=%A%f:%l:\ %m,%-Z%p^,%-C%.%#
My .gvimrc simply sources the .vimrc file and sets a color scheme and font:
Code:
colo buttercream
" Set font for GTK2 version of gvim
set guifont=Andale\ Mono\ 8
" Set font for GTK1 version of gvim (not used)
"set guifont=-windows-ProFontWindows-medium-r-normal--11-110-72-72-c-60-microsoft-cp1252
Here's my buttercream color scheme for gvim.

Are there GTK2 version and GTK1 version of gVim? I mean it has two versions?
Where can I download the latest one?

Thanks

You can build it either with GTK1 or GTK2 support. The source is the same. I actually prefer the GTK1 version because it's a lot quicker and I don't like anti-aliased fonts in editors, but I'm using a GTK2 build because I'm too lazy to install a separate version with GTK1.

You can get it here.
