How to run doom on ubuntu using wine

i have the doomfiles and exes i use the wine file thing open doom i try to run it but then it crashes help me

i get the exe to run but i can only press new game i cant change any settings and it changes the screen size and is weird

You could likely get it tweaked to work on Wine but why bother?

Doom has several ports for native play on Linux. Enable the appropriate repositories for your Linux distribution, check out Doom websites on the net to pick your favorite, then install it with your package manager. Don't need Wine for Doom.
