how to run a shell script which suffix is .bin???

I got a Jbuilder 7's installation disk, it seem to be install on linux ,windows ,MAC and saloris OS, is there any one knows how to run a shell script which have a suffix of .bin, I am eager to install jBuilder 7 on my linux system ,thanks.is there any one knows how to run a shell script which have a suffix of .bin
