How to restore default panel and desktop themes?

I am new to linux and was playing around with kde panel and desktop and lost alot of icons and the default theme. I thought I had read somewhere on how to restore the defaults and wrote it down. Now I can't find the link or instructions. Could someone help me out or was I dreaming. It was really cool until I tried to get the defaults stuff back. I lost the clock, kboard, suse plugger, and the main thing is the squares that show the number of windows open. Thanks for taking the time to read this and posting. I'm running SuSE 9.0.

Remove the ~/.kde (or is it .kde2 or .kde3?) and ~/.qt from your home directory. This should remove all the customizations you have made to the kde environment.

Thanks I'll give it a try.

Thanks for the tip I'll give it a go first thing in the morning when I get back to work and let you know how it worked.

Thanks again,

Cliff

Still no default settings.

I removed the kde and qt files from my home directory, then rebooted. There was a change but there were no applications showing in the task bar when it is minimized . The big thing is how do you get the desktops minimized to the panel so you can know what is running. I like to multi task and it helps when task show up on the panel. Thanks for the tips.
