How to remove my truecrypt encryption

Hey,
I have got Truecrypt 5.1, and I want to reorganise my system. For Windows it is possible, to remove a truecrypt-encryption, so that afterwards the drive/file/... behaves like it was never crypted. I would do this for my HDD, but I can't find out how to.

Can someone explain this to me?
thx
Max

If I were in your situation rather than wait twelve hours for an answer I would have made a backup of the encrypted partition, reformatted the partition without encryption, and restored the data from backup.

The True Crypt software claims that its v5.x and higher versions hit a bug in the Linux kernel that is fixed in kernel version 2.6.24 or 2.6.25 so I would not depend on True Crypt's ability to decrypt files in place unless I was running the 2.6.25 or higher kernel. Even if I were running the correct kernel version I would expect that my first suggestion would be faster and possibly more reliable.
