How to remove a fedora - linux partition from a dual boot system "windows 7 + Fedora"

Hi
I guess that many of you would be neglecting this thread as there is a solution available for it in many sites, but i have some problem. I have windows 7 and fedora installed. Now i want to uninstall fedora and want to keep only one OS, windows 7.

Going to computer management, and deleting the Linux partition is ok, but when I boot again, I got a grub issue, as grub is also uninstalled. many in other sites suggested that using Windows 7 recovering DVD and going to console and type some commands.

But in my laptop HP provided 3set recovery DVD, which I again have to install, so my current settings and all the update that i have done in last 2yrs would be gone for sure. So any one can suggest me a different procedure? Is the boot loader for windows 7 available in any sites? I would be grateful, and i know I will get best advice in this forum, so I came here, please help.

Thanks
Deb

ok thanks, I guess you are suggesting easy BCD for correcting windows boot loader, but it is a .exe file. How can I use it?
When there is no boot loader, at start-up, there is no MBR so it can't load windows 7, at that time if I want to use this .exe, how it can be used. I just want to know the functionality.

Thanks for your so quick help.

If you wanted to maintain the flexibility of GRUB, you could boot from a live CD (almost any one would do, but the System Rescue CD is a good choice, and nice to have available). Then create a small partition - 1MB or less should work - and (re)install GRUB using the small partition. Then you could boot your Win 7 (or any other OS on your system) simply by changing the grub.conf (or, if you install GRUB2, the grub.cfg file) in the small partition.

And, if you want to "autostart" Win 7, just set the "hidemenu" option on and the delay to 0 in the configuration file.
