Hi Folks,

I have RH7.1 dual booting with Win98. Win needs to be reinstalled as it is misbehaving.

Is it possible to reinstall windoze without destroying Linux partitions?

I can find a heap of info about installing Linux on top of Windoze but nothing the other way round.

Any help welcomed,

Best wishes,

Sure, just boot with your windows cd or whatever, only format its partition and install, it will however write over the MBR if you using lilo, so after install, you need to boot back into Linux with a floppy rescue to install the lilo back to the MBR and of course configure it so you can boot from either Linux or Windows.

Talking Thanks..

Thanks Trickykid,

I'll give it a go tonight, I kind of thought that windows may demand the whole disk to itself - greedy swine that it is

Thanks again,
