How to print large files to low mem printer?

Hi, I've been hassling around at work trying to plot a large BMP to an HP DesignJet 750C Plotter (from Windows). The plotter keeps running out of memory. I'm going to try my Knoppix CD tomorrow-- Are there any tricks I can try with the Linux driver to get the file printed? I don't think it's a Postscript plotter. I tried the Windows driver option of "Print directly to printer" (No spooling) which didn't help any. Maybe that's the direction I need to look at in Linux? Thanks for your help!

In windows, if your printer driver supports it, try to disable caching. Its somewhere in the printer properties. Then it will print directly without using its memory. Things will be slowed down pretty much, but I think you can wait for that big print of yours.

Did this once when i needed to print something like a 2*2 meter poster and my HP laserjet got stuck, hehe.
