How to make bootable CDROM to format a raw disk?

Dears,

I really need to make a bootable CDROM that It formats a raw hard disk automatically.
I tried to use bootable Rescue disks but they attempt to mount a root partition on hard and with a raw hard they make an error and stop working.
I need a solution to do this by at most 10 MB on CD.
Please give me your detailed idea.
Best regards.

Have you tried LiveCDs? Knoppix/Slackware?

You can also look at MondoRescue

It would be in the best interest of LQ if you choose the best forum for your question and post it just once. this will keep all discussion concentrated to one thread. Will also save you time from shuffling between threads.
