How to login as root in the remote machine with NX client
Hi,
I have installed RHEL4 in a HP server and some users will install Oracle in it. So they need the GUI to install it. I was told that Exceed is good but in this forum someone posted that NX(nomachine.com) is best for this purpose in every way. So I have installed it but the problem is I have to give users the root login in GUI remotely and in NX it doesn't permit root login at least I haven't found. As exceed is commercial so I was willing to use NX for this.
Anyone know any way to login as root user in GUI with NX?
I understand your point. But DB admins are not that much good with linux to use su to become root. So I have to give them that facility for the time being. They need to access GUI remotely to install oracle10g.
no, that's just daft. if you're better than your DBA's then you need to give them a silly little wrapper script, or a document even, about what to do. if you administer systems due to a lowest common denomiator you might as well give up now... take pride in your work and do things properly.
