Question how to load a module?

make sure that the mga.o kernel module is loaded prior to starting X
that's from matrox tech support. how do i do this though??

become root
run modprobe...

su -
modprobe mga

..... or you could also use used "insmod module"

er this error came up:

root@slackware:~# modprobe mga
/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/char/agp/mga.o: init_module: Cannot allocate memory
