How to launch a program as a defined user at startup.


Ex.: I push the power button on a no keyboard/no screen PC, and after the system boots, a quake 3 server is launched by the q3 user, an Unreal server by the ut user, a ftp by the ftp user... All that with ONE finger.

i don't know how you would map this to a key stroke but you could certainly write a script that would start all these servers. setting the uid bit on all the binaries would ensure that ran under the users you define.

The ONE finger is the one which press the power button ^^.
Thanks for the uid tip, but i look for another way. Some kind of rc.users.services .
