How to keep rdesktop from closing applications

I use rdesktop on SuSE 11 to connect to several windows 2003 servers.

Whenever I disconnect, like by accidently hitting the close button, all my applications on the server are closed and my session is closed.

I would like them to stay open. The windows guy here showed me how it's not happening with his remote desktop on windows XP.

Is there any way to change this? Thanks!

Odd I run rdesktop (with the grdesktop GUI front-end) to connect to my windows servers and hitting the X on the client window just closes the rdesktop session and doesn't log me out of windows or close the windows apps.. I can reconnect to any windows machine and everything is still running. I am unaware of any particular setting that would affect this.

you could try tsclient and see if your results are any different.

Tried that. The session on the server ends as soon as tsclient disconnects.

You don't happen to know how to send ctrl-break to the server application, do you?
