hey everyone
I made a huge mistake and removed the rpm from my linux.
now i can not find any way to install it back again.
can somebody can tell me where to find the zip file for it.

things that i have tried to far:
1. apt-get: complains of missing packages
2.yast: won't even open the software management

my linux is suse9.3 on a AMD64,3000+

Put SuSE cd 1 in the cd drive, then mount the drive. Use your file manager to search the cd for a folder containing rpm. If the rpm you want to re-install is there, good. If not, unmount the cd drive, then try again with cd 2. Keep doing that until you find the cd with the rpm you want to install.

Then, mouse click on the rpm. You should get a dialogue box asking if you want to install using YaST. Click on OK, and YaST should install it for you. If you get dependency errors, take note of the packages YaST wants. Install those first, then try again to install the rpm you wanted from the start.

my problem is not that i need to be looking for an *.rpm file.
My problem is that I UNINSTALLED RPM PROGRAM and all its related packages and files.
as a result i can no longer run these programs:
1.rpm
2.apt-get
3.yast

I was hoping to find a zip file on the internet that contains all the packages for this software so that i can
download it again (not as a *.rpm file but something with a makefile). However, i was not successful to find
such file on the net so far.

I was hoping if somebody can tell me where i can get that from.
If no such thing exists then how can i fix my stupid problem?

Hopefully you already have the requirements you need to build it...
If not, you may be looking at a re-install (but don't quote me, I don't use rpm's)
