You have to burn an iso to a CD, which you then boot from to install.

You can install from your hard drive according to rh's site.

Quote:

If you are attempting a hard drive installation, ISO images are now required. This means you no longer have to copy and install the entire filesystem tree from the installation CD-ROMs. Instead, simply put the required ISO images in a directory, boot the installation program from a floppy diskette, and point the Red Hat Linux installation program at the directory containing the ISOs.
Here's where I got the info . The boot disk image you need according to the ftp site is boot.img .

I did that, downloaded the two *.iso files (you need them both) and installed from my hard drive.

RHL 7.2 wouldn't see the iso images at first, but when I selected (typed in) "expert" at the boot prompt it did find them. The rest of the install went as though I had done it from a CD.
