How to install RealyPlayer plugin ?


I've downloaded the file

RealPlayer10GOLD.bin

However, anyone could tell me how to treat with this file then ?

open up a console, and type ./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin

The ./ is the command to execute a file.

Just to avoid confusion:

./ is not a command, but a path. '.' means the current directory. When you type a command with no path, linux looks for that command in every directory in your $PATH variable. If you want to run a command that's not in your $PATH, you need to specify where it is. When the file you need is in your current directory, ./file is a nice shortcut. But if you save your files to /download, for example, and then open a new terminal to run it, you would need to either cd /download first, or type /download/RealPlayer10GOLD.bin

if that doesn't find anything, type:

locate bin/mozilla

I've followed the instructions below

and have change the file to executable, however, it responsed with the message

bash: RealPlayer10GOLD.bin: command not found

What's wrong ?

I think you left the ./ off the front the second time
