how to install new packages

i am not familiar with the way Red Hat installs new packages from it's cd-rom, but with Mandrake you use the MandrakeUpdate feature, but on Red Hat i don't know how to do this, i tried using Kpackage but it only shows packages ALREADY installed.....

If you know the name of the package, you can plop in your CD, mount it, and click the package you are wanting to install. If there are dependencies, satisfy them, and then continue.

i wish there was something easier like Mandrake has, it found all the dependicies itself and installed them itself etc. etc.
