How to Install Linux on a HP Netserver 5/100 LH

I have been given a HP Netserver 5/100 LH with 3 x 1Gb drives running off a Mylex Dac960pl Scsi controller. I would like to load Red Hat on this, but it keeps coming up saying no devices found to install on. I would appreciate it if somebody could give me the steps needed to get the installation on track.
Thanks a million,
Rob

Have you built the array yet (at the BIOS or user-startup Mylex utils)? Try that first, then see if you can install.

I doubt it would be a simple task to istall this using the DAC960 controller ar RH does not appear to support it 'out of the box'. SuSE 7.1 and up should.

If the above fails, you may (and I stress _may_ as I heve never played with a Mylex controller) be able to do it the following way.

Remove one SCSI drive from the RAID controller
Install your choice of Linux distro on it.
Get it working and try to get the RAID controller and array participants (the remaining two drives) visible and functional.
Copy the root filesystem to the array and rebuild the array by including the original disk on which you installed Linux. (You WILL need a boot floppy with a kernel config'd for your setup).

I just Recently been given a HP Netserver 5/100 LH and I keep getting the message stating that I need to run the CMOS Configuration Utility but I was not given the CD with that on it. I only have the HP System Test Disk. but also I want to install Red Hat on it too. I try to boot with my Red Hat disk but it keeps also causing problems because I cannot configure the CMOS. Do you know where I can get the configureation utilitys at for this system?
