i update my opensuse 10.1 using smart. i have good no. of repositories
added in smart channels list, includng kde base and kde backport but
how can i install kde apps available on kde-apps.org directly using
smart.

kde-apps.org is not a Smart repository, so you cannot use it to install rpm packages using Smart.
Generally the apps found in kde-apps.org become SUSE rpm packages in one of the SUSE repositories after some time. So you should seek there if the package you want is already present.
Can you tell what KDE app interests you ? I'm pretty sure there's already a package for it somewhere.
