How to I upgrade Apache on a Red Hat box?
I am new to Linux. Can someone walk me through how to upgrade Apache on Linux? I am currently running Apache version 2.0.59 and want to upgrade to 2.2.6. This is running on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 machine. I looked at the information on the Apache site on how to upgrade from 2.0.x to 2.2.x, but it didn't really help me. I renamed the modules and so forth, but, after I restarted apache and did an "rpm -q httpd" it tells me I have version 2.0.59. What package would you use to upgrade to 2.2.6? Also, I am just using a test box that doesn't have a license on it, so I can't use the up2date command or whatever it's called. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
