How to I fully delete every trace of kernel modules ???

OK, I'm a little paranoid about the "clean up before you start something new" idea (Which is one my mum often uses), I've just compiled a kernel on my experimentation computer, and it has some issues and I wanna try a different patch-set, I know I just can remove the sourcecode and the compiled kernel, but I'ld like to know which files and folders (I presume "everything" is Kernel, modules, sourcecode) to delete so you never would know that ANY "Linux kernel" stuff was even attempted to compile and install.

I know this sounds very silly to some of you l33t Linux users out there, but I like to know silly stuff, because sometimes I found it handy in combination with other stuff.

The folders in /usr/src which were created by the untarring the source. Then there are a few others, in /boot but that's the real kernel image so I would be careful with deleting that unless you have a new working ready (the old files will be called *.old). There's also some stuff in /lib/modules but iirc those are symlinks to the kernel source itself. I think searching on your kernel version will give all the results where stuff is included. Try this to locate files:
Code:
locate kernelversion
