larrykeenan Member Registered: Apr 2004 Location: Brisbane Australia Distribution: Mandrake 10 Posts: 45 Rep:	How to have a microphone working under VMWARE 4? Has anyone had success getting their microphone to work under VMWARE 4? I run Mandrake 10 with vmware 4.05 running XP as a guest system. Everything works perfectly except I don't understand how to get the microphone to emulate pcm as required by VMWARE. In searching News Groups and forumns I have seen similar questions asked but the only replies I have seen say yes they have it working but they never say how. I imagine I either have to alter the kernel or ALSA somehow so that the simulated sound card receives the microphone input as pcm. Thanks in advance, Larry Keenan
