I'm currently having trouble with my login script with novell. The only way so far i been able to do, is first log into linux then you can freely login novell, but the way i want it is the same way it works with windows, Anyone know how i can get this to work ?? I curently work with suse 9.3 and novell for linux ver 1.1

The first thing you have to do is download and install "ncpfs" which contains "ncpmount". You use the "ncpmount" command to mount your Novell network drives. However, let me tell you, getting your fstab entries correct can be a lot of fun, or at least it was for me. I also have issues setting and modifying permissions on files in shared network directories. I believe that Novell is working hard at improving the situation though and expect that bty the time they release SLED 10 in a few months, all should be good.

A bit of good news though. They (Novell) have finally gotten a good working version of Groupwise out. It's available for download. Prior to that, getting Evolution to interface with Groupwise was a lot of work.

I use OpenSUSE 10.0 on a Novell network at work.

Jim
