how to extract tar.gz files from user account on fedora linux


hi

iam trying to configure a mail server with postfix virtual mail server.

iam trying to extratct tar.gz files from a user account , i got error meeage so how to configure and extarct tar balls from user account on linux

tar -xvzf filename.gz or tar -jxvf filename.tar.bz2 Then read the contained readme or install file for further instructions.
