How to do a 256 color in wine

i have a really old old game that demends 256 color (8bit?)

i have config this file ~/.wine/config

file the line

; Color depth to use on multi-depth screens
;;"ScreenDepth" = "16"

and changed the 16 with 8

but with no luck, the game still ask for 256 color depth...
