How to disbale file transfer in Gaim?

Been loking for a bit about how to disable file transfer in gaim for security reasons, now I just noticed an option when connecting to my yahoo id, there is a space for file transfer protocol that is filled in already, now if I delete that does it now mean that it wont be able to file transfer anymore? Is it really as simple as that??
