How to delete a driver in linux?


Sir,

I am interested to know how to port usb driver in linux...I am having the driver code ..I am using fedora 11..
So before that i want to know how to delete the usb driver that comes with installation or inbuilt driver .After that i will try to port my driver code and check whether the driver is working or not..

If any commands are there to check the same please share that to me..

Please give me suggestions form your side....

why would you want to delete it? Just don't load it in the first place. if it's already loaded, rmmod will remove it from memory.

How to copy the driver?

Sir,

Before deleting the driver ,how to copy that driver code file ,so that after deleting i can check again the same driver code for checking..or porting..

If you do not want the driver to load blacklist it. This way you can undo any bad action.
