How to create a dummy printer

Hi all,
I would like to create a dummy printer to my Linux OS. Any idea how do i do that ? In the printer setting, i need to scan for printer before proceed, but i dont have one. so im stuck there. Pls advise.

hello,
Following steps assumes that you have cups service running on background
1) open any web browser and type http://localhost:631
2) then click on Manage printer
3) then click on Add printer
4) then if ask for username/passwd give root as username and its passwd
5) then proceed with printer installation on parallel port
6) select EPSON
7) then 24pin device driver
8) continue
9) thus printer will get installed
