how to configure apache


hi people
can anyone help me as i have program a .cgi script using perl but everytime i run it it give me 500 internal server error. is it because my apache is not configure proplerly can someone guide me how to configure my apache in order to use perl to create a cgi script that can write data into a file?

I don't mean to point you to the manual but why should members repeat themselves or write tutorials on existing documents.. http://httpd.apache.org/docs/howto/cgi.html

Read that to get started. If you come across something your unsure of or need help with, come back and ask..
