how to close the thread


i know how to start a thread. but when the discussion completes how to close the thread initiated by me. please reply.

you don't need to worry about closing threads. in my experience "discussions" never complete...

Without locking the thread, you can complete the thread with a summary.

If your problem was fixed, you could re-itterate the problem, followed with the solution, and a thank you to whomever helped. That usually shows the thread is done without locking it. Then if someone has something to add later on, the thread is still available for discussion.

no, we don't close threads without a reason... no harm in leaving them open.
