How to Change Console Text Colour

Hi,

I'd like to change the console text color to green, and possible also the font. Any idea on how to accomplish this?

Use the setterm command to set terminal atributes. See man setterm for more details.

Can't you enable a menubar by right clicking the terminal window? Then, under edit->profiles you can change colors.

it works momentarily if I append & to the colour, but then the effect wears away after 1 line, any ideas why?
