how to boot ubuntu when there is a degraded RAID5 without initramfs stoppin the boot

I have ubuntu installed on /dev/sde drive
I have in addition a RAID5 array defined of partitions from other drives (not the system drive).
When I degrade the RAID5 (by pooling out one of the RAID drives)and try to reboot UBUNTU it gets into initramfs declaring that there is a degraded raid array.
This is a remote system and I must have it restarted without stopping in the initramfs.
1. I modified /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/mdadm to have the line: BOOT_DEGRADED=true
2. Just to make sure I also ran: sudo dpkg-reconfigure msadm and set the boot degraded option through this tool too.

nothing help it stops the boot in the initramfs and require manual feedback in order to proceed.

Since the system is not even installed on the degraded raid there is no real reason to stop it, what can I do to force UBUNTU to start regardless of the status of the RAID array which is used only for users data.
