How to add Gnome style "drawer" (ie sub-menu) to KDE 3.1 kicker (aka KDE Panel)

There doesn't seem to be any way to add *arbitrary* menus, pop-ups, drawers, whatever you want to call them, to the KDE Panel. This is one of my favorite Gnome features, and I'm not sure I can live without it...

It's easy to add *pre-existing* menus from the 'K' menu, but that's all I can figure out.

Any help appreciated.

right click it.

NO, that only gives you the option to add pre-existing menus from the 'K' menu... (and before you even mention the Quick Launcher, I've seen it, and it's not what I'm looking for)

I just got click happy one time and I remember it was in one of the menus. Try off the Action/kicker menu

Hmmm... I don't seem to have an Action menu for kicker. Is that off right-clicking?

God forbid you make a sub-menu in the K Menu, then have a sybolic link or whatnot on your pannel....

I use Gnome and added an Action menu which is very similiar to the kicker hat.
I think it lists them as drawers and you can also do slide panels.

These gnome drawers are better than menus because you can have the buttons as drop targets from the konqueror file manager or other drag-n-drop events. I use my toolbar buttons as drop targets such as editors, and scripts that process files that I drop. It would be nice to have these buttons in a slideout drawer of icons like the gnome drawers. I miss this feature from gnome.
