Question How to access a web site with port number from mozilla 1.0?

Hi,

I just use the Mozilla 1.0 to access a port numbered url. It said that "Access to port number has been disabled for security reasons.".

How can I enable it in mozilla?

Thanks

you can try to specify the port after the address:

http://www.somedomain.com:8080

I knew that I need to add the port number after the url. My question is I cannot access http://www.somedomain.com:8080 through mozilla.

My notebook is under an intranet (through a redhat server with firewall) or wireless lan under my campus network, but not through a proxy.

I want to access another university's campus network such as abc.edu:8110

I can access it through IE or NS.

Here is the error pop-up msg: Access to port number has been disabled for security reasons.

How should I configure the mozilla browser?

Thanks for your help
