How many Hard disks ?

Hi,

Can any one tell me how many hard disks in this server ?

Code:
root@server2 [~]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda1 1.5G 197M 1.2G 15% /
/dev/hda6 57G 34G 21G 62% /home
none 251M 0 251M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/hda7 487M 102M 360M 22% /tmp
/dev/hda2 7.7G 3.6G 3.8G 49% /usr
/dev/hda3 5.8G 2.8G 2.7G 51% /var
/dev/hdc1 1.5G 254M 1.2G 19% /old_drive
root@server2 [~]#
/dev/hdc1

Is that a second hard disk ?

Regards,

Yujin

It appears to be but the df command only shows mounted partitions. There could be additional unmounted drives and partitions.

Log in as root and run the following command.
fdisk -l

This will show all drives and their partition layout.

I made a folder /backup

cd /
mkdir backup

and mounted the second HDD like

mount /dev/hdc3 /backup

How do i get this HDD auto mounted as /backup on server boot time ?

/dev/hdc3 /backup ext3 defaults,usrquota 1 1

Adding to /etc/fstab will be ok ?

What is the 1 1 at the end ?

Regards,

Yujin

Thanks everyone for the help.

I got it working by adding

/dev/hdc3 /backup ext3 defaults,usrquota 0 0

to /etc/fstab

I asked to make sure because its a remote server and don't want to contact DC if my change create any problem.
