how i get C compiler in linux
 
i am a new user. knows little abt linux.

this lab comntains linux systems(Redhat Linux ver 9.0)

there is one system that is just installed linux. no working started.
students have to do C programming in this lab.
How i get the C compiler in that system. now CC is not activated.

i will be very thankful to u if anyone gide me with the steps to activate the C compiler.

Almost every distrobution of linux comes with a C compiler called gcc. I've only used it to build downloaded programs, but if you check it out (run 'man gcc' on the command line) I believe it should do the trick

If it truly does not contain the C compiler (I don't know why it wouldn't though) you can check here to download it.
