The methods to change colours on terminals vary for each software. You would need to be more specific as to what the name of the terminal is.
Any VT100-compliant terminal should honor ansi escape sequences, including those which change terminal color. Generally, an escape sequence is put into the shell prompt, thereby making the subsequent input in the previous color (unless, of course, the subsequent input has a color escape sequence).
I think yawe_frek is refering to the Konsole schema. All I can suggest is to use google or some other web search engine to find information on how to copy/edit konsole schema to make a new one which suits you.
